On the day Alyce becomes homeless, a stranger offers her a job in a bookstore. Taking upon the offer she finds herself working under a cold and reserved Zaid and his two talking dogs. Alyce is quickly thrown into a world of magic and monsters as a group of dangerous creatures take her as their target.
