Something ancient is stirring beneath Boston. When Dawn, a trans teen at a new arts school, discovers that a tooth left by his missing father houses the Onane (oh nah neh), an ancient bat spirit, he is drawn into a hidden world of ancestral magic. As he uncovers his family's secrets, Shay, another trans boy who knows more than he's letting on, may hold the key to a mystery that connects a fish, a bat, and a power that could consume them both.
