Hazy and burnt, Ivan awakes outside the rubble of his mother’s house. Memories struggle to coalesce and form coherent images. Raven is an angel, of sorts. Blackened wings and hollow eyes, he insists Ivan was meant to die. Confused, Ivan tries to ignore the otherworldly creature, visible to only him.
