Whenever a mermaid turns 18 they become a human for a month. Sidney, who has just turned 18, comes to shore where she meets Leo Davies from Wellington, New Zealand who makes it his goal to show Sidney how wonderful and exciting the surface world is, while at the same time he learns how wonderful she is.
