Alicia Jordans lives in The Emerald Abode, a mass of cities managed by the megacorporation Aurora that provides a safe haven from a virus transforming humans into beasts. To manage her crippling debt, she signs up as a monster hunter, until she encounters something Aurora shouldn't have.
