Elias had always struggled with his mental health, but when he would bring it up to people they would say he was lying because on the outside he seemed normal. As his struggles became worse and burying it down stopped working he would eventually meet someone who did finally believe him and wanted to help him. Mordecai was always perfect, but as he got older, he crumbled at the expectations and decided to move up to Canada for college for music without his parent's knowledge, there he met Elias.
